China Exhibites Made In Cameroon (MIC) Products
China Exhibites MIC products Thanks to Minister of Trade. It gives room for Cameroon’s products to be exhibited in their markets thanks to the agreement with the Minister. The partnership agreement signed by Shanghai Cooperation and Luc Mbarga Atangana, Minister of Trade aims at fortifying the Cameroon Label.
Made in Cameroon products will be exhibited during the Qingdoa International Agricultural Products Exhibition and Trade Center which has been running in China for the past 12 years now.
Furthermore, Qingdoa is one of the biggest and largest trade fair center in China aim at promoting mainly agricultural products and other sectors. It has a total construction area of 100000 square meters. While part of the exhibition center covers an area of 25000 square meters and can possibly host 1200 booths. The center has been furnished with exhibition and trading hall, quality supervision on agricultural product and testing center. Also, it has e-commerce center, transnational procurement service, news release, bank, supermarket and business center and other supporting facilities.
The Agreement Between China and Cameroon
The agreement was as a result of the recent visit by the Minister of Trade to China. In line with the “From Farm to Table” initiative, yielding to a fruitful visit aim at boosting Cameroon’s agricultural sector.
Meanwhile, the “Farm to Table” (Farm to Folk Strategy) strategy aims for fair, healthy and environmentally-friendly food system. However, this strategy is to showcase the Made in Cameroon products in the agricultural sector.
Consequently, the Minister said the product to have greater chance to be exported will be white pepper and chili. Reason been that they are known for their idiosyncratic quality and flavor.
Moreover, the agreement’s importance is to strengthen the chain between Cameroon and China while supplying them with already Refined MIC products for the Chinese consumers.
Particularly, this chain will continue by opening more door for many other Made in Cameroon products to be exported. Products such as cocoa, coffee and banana said the Minister.

Statistics of China been Cameroon’s Biggest Partners by NIS
According to the National Institution of Statistics (NIS) published on May 8 2024, China is one of Cameroon’s biggest partner when it comes to importation. China imported 7.8% of Cameroon products such as cocoa waste (38.1%), with fuel and lubricants (28.8%). Also, equipments and accessories (9.2%), unsorted diamond (8.9%) and many others.
The statistics above shows that Cameroon is not left out in the economy market. Again, Cameroon continues to look for means to make a name for itself as recommended by the President of State, Paul Biya.
