Russia and Cameroon have signed an agreement that will exempt holders of diplomatic and service passports from visa requirements when traveling between the two countries.
The agreement was signed on July 27, on the sidelines of the second Russia-Africa summit in St Petersburg. It is expected to enter into force 90 days after both countries have completed their national ratification procedures.
The agreement is a sign of the growing friendship and cooperation between Russia and Cameroon. It will make it easier for officials from the two countries to travel to each other’s countries, and it will also facilitate exchanges of delegations in the political, economic, and cultural spheres.
The Cameroonian passport is currently ranked 86th out of 104 in the Henley Passport Index. This means that Cameroonian citizens can travel to 52 countries without a visa. With the new agreement, Cameroonians will be able to add Russia to that list.
The agreement is a welcome development for both countries. It will help to strengthen ties between Russia and Cameroon, and it will make it easier for people from both countries to travel and do business together.
